What are the advantages of Faux Finishes?

Faux Finish never peels, has no repeat patterns, it's washable, durable and has no seams. It is customized to your existing color scheme and cost-effective. Textured finishes can hide wall surface flaws. Faux finish adds dimension and interest to any decor. It can be applied to various surfaces such as plaster, drywall, wood, metal, leather or PVC.

How much do Faux Treatments Cost?

Treatment prices vary depending upon the size of the room, prep work needed,  the number of steps involved to create the desired finish, plus the cost of materials.
Many faux treatments are comparable in price to wallpaper installation.  But of course the final results are far beyond compare.

Do your paint products leave an odor?

In most cases, No. We use water-based, nontoxic products that have little to no odor. Some texture media have a slight odor that fades away after curing.

What should I do to to prepare for my faux project?

Walls need to be in good condition - fill any nail holes or cracks with drywall compound or paintable caulk. Also furniture should be moved from the wall area. Pets, children and spectators should not intrude upon the work space.

All estimates require an on site consultation. A job is scheduled by signing a work contract and making a deposit to reserve the days needed to complete the job.

Do you have samples I can look at to give me ideas?

Yes, our portfolio has over forty sample boards. We also have idea books (a personal compilation of magazine and catalog pictures) as well as art & design books that can be loaned out. Also, based on the client's description, an original wall finish can be created exclusively for them.

Can you customize a sample board according to my preferences?

Absolutely. This is part of the process. A sample board will be made in the client's color palette and desired finish so they can look at it their room in natural light and incandescent light to be certain of their selection. There is no extra charge for these samples (except postage) as long as a work contract is signed.

At What Point Do I bring the Faux specialist on board during a remodeling or new construction project?

Simply put, the earlier the better.  Here are two good reasons:

Base Paint:  The faux finish or texture you choose will determine the sheen level of the base paint used.  Contractors commonly use a flat (low sheen) paint.  Unfortunately, flat paint is not conducive to most faux finishes, and therefore may need to be repainted.

Ceiling Texture:
The “popcorn” texture, commonly used on ceilings in new construction, will not give you the freedom or versatility you may desire for the faux treatment or ceiling texture you have selected.  This “popcorn” texture would have to be removed for an additional fee.
